Start from St John the Baptist Church walk up through the town past the House on Crutches Museum (worth a visit on summer weekends). Past The Wintles and up through fields, with views on the Long Mynd.

Pass Burnt House with it’s funny looking sheep...........

Join the Kerry Ridgeway, an ancient travellers route and drovers way

Pass a reservoir that used to supply water to Bishop’s Castle until the 1950s. Along the valley bottom, then up and over a hill.

Follow the Offa’s Dyke path down to Churchtown, and St John the Baptist church, the finish of Section One
