Bishop’s Castle has been awarded “Walkers are Welcome” status. So it’s official, Bishop’s Castle is a great place for walkers.

Bishop’s Castle is 20 miles south of Shrewsbury and 10 miles north of Ludlow.

The nearest railway station is Craven Arms. There is not a bus service between Craven Arms and Bishop’s Castle, but you can use the Shropshire Link service. This can be booked up to 7 days in advance by calling 0345 6789068.
